|We have all heard of "seed" faith... We are practically bombarded with in on Christian television networks. It sounds something like this.. "Sow your seed of 100 dollars and God will bless you one hundred fold." This article explains how this plea for money is heretical. Please read. God says in His Word.. "For lack of knowlege, my people will perish.."|
Read Paul's warning to the Galations.. "I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! 10 Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Prior to reading please note: This article was not written by me. I am using it to point out the dangers of the modern day "seed faith" movement. The article makes a reference to the selling of indulgences over 500 years ago. It is not my intention, in any way, shape, or form, to "pick on" or criticize anyone's faith. The only reason I am publishing this article is because it is a good lesson on the danger of selling the gospel and using God as a tool for financial gain. I truly love people and respect people of all religions. My family is part Catholic and part Protestant. Many people would classify me as a Protestant, but there are many protestant practices with which I do not agree. I love Catholic teachings on humilty and sacrifice. I love Protestant teachings on the same. Simply put, I love Christ and I don't like labels. I truly wish there weren't so many divisions. That being said, I encourage you to offer your opinions and comments. I hope that I am not "unfriended" without knowing the reason why. That has happened to me a few times during the past week. If you don't agree with something I say, have the courage to speak up. No one is done any good or service by silence or pettiness.
